Miff Chichester completed his degree in Valuation and Estate Management in 1990, having spent the previous six years as a commercial diver working on the oil and gas rigs of the North Sea, Irish Sea, Mediterranean and The Gulf of Mexico.
He qualified as a Chartered Surveyor with Weatherall, Green & Smith in 1992 but left in 1995, (after a short spell at DTZ Debenham Thorpe), and set up his own company, Henry Chichester in St Petersburg, Russia, building and refurbishing commercial and residential real estate. From 1995 to 2000, he and his partners grew the business and have completed approximately 1,000,000 sqft of offices, retail and residential development. He sold his shares to his partners in Henry Chichester, which is still going strong and continues to work productively in the Eastern European market.
After the sale of Henry Chichester in 2001, Miff returned to work with CB Hillier Parker as a Central London Development/Investment Director and in 2003, he took equity in The Property Merchant Group, specialising in the redevelopment and refurbishment of commercial and mixed use buildings in Central London/South East of England. Whilst at PMG, he completed 500,000 sqft of mixed use real estate reconfigurations.
He and his partner, Steve Taylor, set up St Congar Land with Europa Capital Partners, which specialised in the acquisition of freehold land around the South of England and Wales for residential and mixed uses.
In addition, they set up St Congar Asset Management to work on office blocks and freehold land with Places for People and St Congar Homes which buys promotions and options for residential land development.
Tony graduated from Nottingham Trent Polytechnic in 1990 with an Honours Degree in Residential Development. He has spent all his working career within the residential development sector, initially starting out as a quantity surveyor and then moving into land and planning.
Tony spent 13 years with Bellway Homes, working within the urban renewal and housebuilding divisions within the Group. During his time at Bellway, Tony was involved in the Barking Riverside development which is a mixed use scheme comprising healthcare, shopping, community and leisure facilities and over 10,000 new homes.
In 2005 Tony joined Crest Nicholson as Development Director. He was responsible for the land and planning departments covering sites in West London and the Home Counties.
In 2010, Tony joined Linden Homes, part of the Galliford Try Group, as Land Director responsible for the delivery of land and planning for the Chiltern region including the purchase of London sites in Mill Hill, Chiswick and Willesden.
Ralph graduated from the University of Manchester with a Masters of Town and Country Planning in 2010 and is a full member of the Royal Town Planning Institute after gaining chartership in 2013.
Ralph has a background in rural planning through working with Salmon Planning Company in Somerset. Since this time, he has developed experience in London and the South East working for Westminster City Council and London consultancies; Iceni Projects and Maddox Associates.
During his time at Iceni, Ralph was seconded to Fairview New Homes where he picked up a house builder’s insight to development across sites in Barnet, Enfield and Hertfordshire.
Ralph has acted for a range of developers and land promoters and has overseen complex major projects ranging from a high-rise build to rent development in Ealing, a secondary school and enabling development in Green Belt Surrey and a 3,600 dwelling allocation in Norfolk.
Ralph brings in house planning expertise and acts as a development manager on live projects. He also leads on St Congar’s business development and site acquisitions.
Laurence Clarke’s career in development started when he joined Crest Nicholson PLC at their Bristol office in 1993. Becoming Development Director, he was responsible for a number of large high profile residential lead developments.
Leaving Crest Nicholson in 2005, Laurence has provided advice for a number of private and public organisations on the acquisition and realisation of development opportunities through his consultancy company.
On joining St Congar, he brought focus on new opportunities for the team to exploit. Laurence has considerable experience in the identification, acquisition and delivery of successful development projects.
Until recently, he was a non-executive Director of one of the largest developing Housing Association in the South West of England.
Following a masters in real estate from Cass Business School and a business degree from Durham University, Charlie began his career at Berkeley Homes (St James) as a land buyer.
Charlie is a Chartered Surveyor (Planning and Development) having qualified at Savills in the Residential Capital Markets division.
Charlie has operated as a development / investment agent across the UK, building strong relationships within the development community. He has been directly involved in originating and executing acquisitions and disposals of over £100m of land. He has represented a number of developers and investors on the acquisitions of assets both on and off market in a range of asset classes.
Charlie brings to St Congar a fresh approach to land origination and the ability to source / acquire land through a diverse property network.
Nathan’s finance career began within the Facilities Management recruitment sector back in 2012. After joining as a junior member of the accounts department, he was later promoted to sit alongside the joint Managing Directors as a member of the SME’s Operational Board.
Following his departure from the recruitment sector, he gained a wealth of experience working within the Talent Management industry until finally joining the Land Promotion sector in February 2019. Since joining St Congar, Nathan has controlled the finance function for a range of projects; managing the day-to-day accounting of individual SPV’s, overseeing the acquisition and disposal of various land parcels and working in conjunction with the company’s various Joint Venture partners.
Nathan is a qualified member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT).
